Cloth Nappies

Second only to clothes, my biggest "baby stuff" addiction is cloth nappies. I quite possibly have a serious problem, I can't resist the cuteness. When I was pregnant, we discussed using cloth but as neither of us had any idea what nappy changing would be like, how often we'd need to do it and so on we just bought two white TotsBots from Tesco. I was quite certain though that we'd at least succeed in using washable baby wipes which would save us a small fortune, and reduce the amount of rubbish we were throwing away, so to make things simple I went for Cheeky Wipes.

We started on the washable wipes quite quickly after birth, and, after finding the "birth to potty" nappies were too big, and discovering we were likely to need specific "night nappies" I ordered a batch of size 1 Little Lambs bamboo nappies. We only had 10 of these, so used them as much as possible and realised that yes, it was going to be OK. Then I went mad and now have a huge "stash" to choose from!

By following the links you can see my reviews and various pictures of the nappies and nappy bits and bobs we've bought...In no particular order...

All in Two Nappies

An AI2 nappy consists of two parts (surprisingly!) the waterproof outer shell, and some sort of absorbant inner. In some nappies, the absorbant bits are affixed by snaps (also called snap in two/SI2), others the absorbant insert just sits inside the shell

All in One Nappies

In an AIO nappy, the absorbant soaker part is fixed to the outer layer in some way.

Two parter Nappies

...are made of two parts! The absorbant inner (can be shaped or require folding) and a waterproof wrap.

Pocket Nappies

These have some sort of "stay dry" inner sewn to the waterproof shell, and between these you stuff absorbant boosters.
